Mark Rowland is an Australian screenwriter based in the UK creating thriller screenplays with an element of the fantastic: Dark, bizarre and twisting reality to enthral the audience. Through his stories, he explores themes of obsessive control and social expectations through characters with a strict, self-imposed code who just want to do the "right" thing... whatever that entails.

Though thrillers are his specialty, Mark is also enamoured with fantasy and animation. He crafts big concepts and even bigger worlds, observing the parallels they draw with reality. Anime in particular is a persistent source of inspiration.
